In Middle School, students with disabilities can attend a zoned school, a District 75 school, or enter the school-choice matching process.
Students with disabilities can apply to all schools and/or programs listed in the Directory of New York City High Schools, subject to the same admissions requirements as their peers.
Specialized programs are programs that are not currently expected to exist in every community school. Special education supports and services that require expertise and are found in a select number of schools may be considered specialized programs.
District 75 is an organization within the Department of Education that provides citywide educational, vocational, and behavior support programs for students who are on the autism spectrum, have significant cognitive delays, are severely emotionally challenged, sensory impaired and/or multiply disabled.
