Eligibility Requirements
Students must meet
all three of the following criteria to be eligible to take the Summer Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT) and/or participate in the Summer Audition for Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts:
- Student entered 8th grade (or 9th grade for the first time) in September 2011 AND
- Student became a New York City resident after November 1, 2011 AND
- Student did not participate in the Fall 2011 SHSAT and/or LaGuardia Auditions
Registration
Registration will be conducted at each
Borough Enrollment Office between July 9 (
no earlier) and August 22.
Students must physically be present in order to register for the Summer SHSAT and/or Summer Audition.
Families are also required to bring the following documents:
- Proof of residence – See the New Students page for a list of acceptable documents
- Proof that child moved to New York City after November 1, 2011
- Child’s birth certificate or passport
- Child’s immunization records
- Child's final June 2012 report card
Tickets will be issued for the Summer SHSAT and/or Summer Audition upon successful registration. Students will need to bring these tickets with them to their test site and/or audition.

Summer LaGuardia Audition: Thursday, August 30, 2012
