NYCDOE wireless devices will only work when configured with the proper SSID & WEP key! 

Welcome to the NYC DOE Mobile Computing Wireless Program. Please be advised that while the Wireless Network may be up and operational in your building, you will need to follow the basic steps in this guide to connect and take full advantage of the Wireless Network. The guide will also help you to identify the wireless network components in the event assistance is needed. 

Connecting to your wireless network is easy, if you follow these steps:

 1- Identify the type of wireless laptop or device you have.

2- Obtain the appropriate wireless network settings for your school including SSID and WEP key.

In recognition of the increased demand for wireless computing by students, teachers and staff, the Division of Instructional and Information Technologies (DIIT) of NYCDOE is in the process of upgrading  the existing school wireless network. This next generation wireless network upgrade will provide students and teachers with an enhanced instructional technology platform for delivering educational content.
