Community and High School Superintendents

District and Borough Family Advocates provide information for the community and support the resolution of family inquiries and concerns.  They provide information to families and community members to increase awareness about academic standards and school resources and develop helpful connections with schools. To contact the District/Borough Family Advocate of a specific school, please visit the NYCDOE School Search (in the center of our home page) and type in the name of the school.  You will then be directed to the link of the school’s website.  When you open the school’s website, the office phone number and address of the District/Borough Family Advocate will be listed in the right margin under “School Details”.

Parent Coordinators
Parent Coordinators serve at the school level to resolve family inquiries and concerns.  They provide information to parents about the school, academics, and helpful resources.

To contact of the Parent Coordinator of a specific school, please call the school.  Visit the NYCDOE School Search (in the center of our home page) and type in the name of the school.  You will then be directed to the link of the school’s website.  When you open the school’s website, the school phone number and the name of the Parent Coordinator will be listed in the right margin under “School Details”.

District Family Advocates
Working in the offices of the Community Superintendents, District Family Advocates support the families and communities of the elementary and middle schools in each school district. There are 32 District Family Advocates (one for each community school district).

Working in the offices of the High School Superintendents, Borough Family Advocates support the families and communities of high schools and secondary schools in their district(s) across the boroughs. There are 6 Borough Family Advocates.
