Developing Student Mindsets that Support Higher Standards: Academic and Personal Behaviors in the 2012-13 Instructional Expectations

Session Description

These materials provide an introduction to NYCDOE's benchmarks for college and career readiness, and in particular, a deep look at the academic and personal behaviors essential to postsecondary readiness and success. A self-reflection activity allows school leaders to consider the current role of these behaviors in their schools and the accompanying worksheet provides examples of best practices in supporting the development of these behaviors through instruction and school culture.
