Work Sampling System (WSS)

WSS for Pre-Kindergarten and Early Elementary Classrooms

The Office of Early Childhood Education (OECE) is a community of early education leaders relentlessly committed to ensuring:

  1. Programs serving our city's youngest learners provide them with the foundation of skills, knowledge and approaches to learning needed to be on a path towards college and career readiness.
  2. Families have access to high quality early childhood options and the tools and knowledge needed to be effective partners in their children's path towards college and career readiness.

OECE is please to announce the expansion of The Work Sampling System (R) (WSS) to eligible Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) programs, and public school Kindergarten through Grade 3 classes in the 2011-2012 school year.

With this in mind, OECE will continue to offer WSS free of charge to eligible public schools with Kindergarten through Grade 3 classes.
