This excellent web resource features a collection of close to 4000 beautiful, downloadable picture books representing historical and modern books from countries around the world, in many languages. Visitors can search books by country, awards, author, and illustrator. Summaries of the books are provided.

Video in Teaching and Learning for New York State Educators (Vital New York) is a free online library of digital media resources for the K-12 classroom presented by Channel Thirteen/WNET. The collection of over 475 resources for ELA is aligned to New York State Learning Standards. Visit VITAL NY at http://vital.thirteen.org. The first visit requires a simple, free self-registration.
