As part of an ongoing effort to support the important role that schools play in promoting health and wellness for everyone in our school communities, all New York City public school students in grades K-12 were invited to submit poster designs for the 5th Annual School Wellness Poster Contest. This contest was designed to encourage students to create messages promoting the importance of eating nutritious food, participating in at least 60 minutes of physical activity, and getting sufficient sleep each day.

One winner and three runners-up have been selected from each of three grade level categories: elementary (K-5), middle (6-8), and high school (9-12). Their designs, which champion healthy minds and bodies in schools, have been displayed on posters in schools citywide and in other documents used to increase awareness of School Wellness, including a colorful calendar.
