Great Expectations: Partnering for Your Child’s Future

Third Grade

Our third grade students are learning much more than to read, write, do math, and understand key concepts in science and social studies.

By the end of the year, third grade students understand the Dewey system of organizing a library and can find books for research and personal interest. They can ask good questions to start a research project; search the online catalog with assistance; find information on selected Web sites; find answers to their research questions; and create a research product with a beginning, middle, and end.
