While standards specific to science practices and content are in development, the Common Core Learning Standards for English Language Arts & Literacy in Science and Technical Subjects establish standards for teaching literacy in the science classroom. EngageNY provides information for teachers about the Common Core.  The Common Core Library offers information and resources for the Common Core classroom and examples of Core-aligned student tasks.
