Show Us What School Wellness Looks Like!
The 7th Annual School Wellness Poster Contest is now closed. See the list of winners and runners up and stay tuned for updated images! Thanks to all New York City public school students who submitted poster designs this year. Teachers can use this Certificate of Participation to recognize all students who entered their poster designs in this year's contest.
One poster winner and three runners-up were selected from each grade level: elementary, middle and high school. One overall video winner was selected. Winning designs, which champion healthy minds and bodies in school, will be displayed on posters in schools and DOE offices, on the DOE website, and in other documents used to increase awareness of school wellness, including a colorful calendar. Scroll through the 2016 designs below and click on the links to view designs from previous years.
This year, the contest encouraged students to create messages that celebrate the cornerstones of school wellness:
- physical education (PE) and health education classes
- wellness and physical activity programs that engage students and families
- a supportive, inclusive school environment
- inspiring PE and health education teachers and other school wellness champions
