NYC School Survey

About the Schools Survey

Your School. Your Child. Your Voice.

This spring will mark the third year when parents, teachers and students in grades 6-12 will have an opportunity to give feedback on their schools.

The voices of parents, students, and teachers count in two important ways. Survey results are reported to school leaders and the public through Survey Reports, which are instrumental in improving schools.  Survey results also count for 10% of schools’ yearly Progress Report grades.

In 2008, 806,539 parents, teachers, and students completed an NYC School Survey.  That's 1 out of every 10 New Yorkers!  Thank you to all the parents, students, and teachers in community and Special Education District 75 schools who filled out the 2008 Learning Environment Survey and made last year's effort a success.  You raised your voices, and as a result you helped improve your schools.

The third annual Learning Environment Survey will launch on February 24th, 2009 and the deadline will be April 24th, 2009.
