Alternative Quality Reviews refer to formative reviews that are conducted by the school’s network. These reviews do not yield a published report although reports for all schools identified as Priority or Focus by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) will be submitted to NYSED.
The Peer Quality Review (PQR) is a 1-day formative review experience for schools in their second year of existence and schools that have demonstrated sustained student growth, as measured by three consecutive years of “A” Progress Report overall grades. It is an opportunity for principals to work with a peer principal, and with their network teams to strengthen high-leverage practices and structures.
