Alternative Quality Reviews refer to formative reviews that are conducted by the school’s network. These reviews do not yield a published report although reports for all schools identified as Priority or Focus by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) will be submitted to NYSED.
Schools in their first year of operation experience a New School Quality Review (NSQR), a one-day review conducted by the school’s network team. During this review the school leadership and network team reviewer address the five weighted Quality Review indicators as well as one additional selected indicator from the Quality Review rubric. The results of this review are shared with the school and the Office of New Schools. Documents related to the NSQR are posted below.
