Complaint about how discipline or suspension was handled.
|
Complaints about how discipline or suspension was handled at public schools are accepted. Corporal punishment is strictly prohibited in the New York City public schools. Disruptive behavior by a student is never punished by the use of physical force or verbal abuse by Department of Education staff. Anonymous complaints are reviewed and addressed when possible, but people who choose to remain anonymous will not be contacted by the Department of Education for follow-up.
