Description	Detailed Description
Public school registration for elementary or middle school students new to the NYC public schools.	Students who are new to New York City or have moved to a new neighborhood may enroll in elementary or middle school beginning September 6th. Parents should take the child to the child's zoned school to register. The following documentation is required to register for elementary or middle school: - proof of address (such as electric or gas bill) - proof of immunization - birth certificate, baptismal certificate or passport Both the parent/guardian and the child must be present at the time of registration. If possible, a copy of the child's last report card or transcript should be brought to registration. If a child requires or receives special education services, a copy of his or her most recent Individualized Education Plan (IEP) should be brought if possible.
