Difference Between PA and PTA
|
A PA is a Parent Association, with membership drawn solely from parents and those with a parental relationship with one or more children in a school. A PTA is a Parent Teacher Association, whose membership includes both parents and teachers.

Eligibility for Parents and Guardians
|
From Chancellors Regulation A-660: Parent Membership in a parent association is open to parents, legal guardians and persons in a parental relationship with one or more students.

Eligibility for Parents who are School Employees
|
Parents who are school employees are eligible for membership, but cannot serve as a member of the PA or PTA Executive Board in the school in which they are employed.
