Free tutoring or academic intervention services.

Many of the students who are enrolled in what have been identified as "Title I schools in need of improvement" are eligible for free tutoring or academic intervention services known as Supplemental Educational Services or SES. Students must be eligible to receive free lunch and be enrolled in a school that has been identified as in a "school in need of improvement" for at least two consecutive years. Parents of eligible students will automatically receive information at the beginning of the school year that informs them about the process for requesting SES.
