Limited Mobility Letters for Families Applying to Kindergarten

This year, families who applied on-time (by February 18) or during the late application period (by March 27) were able to indicate whether their child has limited mobility needs that requires a specific physical building layout. The answer to this question was not taken into account for initial admissions decisions.

Families who indicated "yes" or "not sure" to this question were sent a letter with more information, including contacts. The letters are below:

If you have not yet applied to kindergarten, you should contact your zoned school and other schools of interest as soon as possible. To determine your zoned school, visit www.nyc.gov/schools/schoolsearch to enter your address.

If you feel your child has limited mobility needs and requires a specific physical building layout, you and your doctor must fill out the 504 Request for Accommodations form and return it to the school you were offered through the Kindergarten admissions process.
