IN THEIR OWN WORDS
Our lead partner, PROGRESS, Inc. (Puerto Rican Organization for Growth, Research, Education and Self Sufficiency), and its entire staff share an unshakeable belief that all children can learn and an unwavering commitment to make it happen. Students who come to PROGRESS High School for Professional Careers have a primary interest in pre-med, teaching and business programs. The academic program integrates the theme of careers into its curriculum in each grade level. Freshmen are introduced to business and careers (exploratory sequence) in our comprehensive business program. During the sophomore year, students focus on Regents-based classes. In the eleventh grade, students are able to take classes in pre-med and pre-teaching. Senior year emphasizes honors, Advanced Placement and various career related internships. We are proud to be a member of the Grand Street Educational Campus.
