The Brooklyn Bridge Academy (BBA) is a small learning community for students who have been truant or who have dropped out of high school. Our comprehensive program includes a challenging academic schedule that maximizes the number of credits that students can earn and prepares them to pass Regents exams. The school staff will engage and support students to make informed choices about their learning and their lives through opportunities for counseling, access to healthcare and employment support. Through our partnerships our school offers a demanding and personalized environment with high expectations for students 16 years and older who are committed to earning their high school diploma.

  • ADMISSIONS INFORMATION: BBA has a rolling admissions policy accepting students who are 16 yeasrs and older throughout the year. Interested students must meet the two following requirements: 1. Have attended another high school for at least one year 2. Have a minimum 6th grade reading level Students and their parents/guardians should contact the school and schedule an intake appointment. Students are requested to provide their transcript. Students will be asked to take a diagnostic assessment test and meet with school staff for an interview. Students accepted into the program will attend orientation sessions and be expected to participate in the school community.
