Summer school provides students with additional instructional support to ensure that they achieve proficiency in NYS Learning Standards and NYC Performance Standards in order to move on to the next grade level. Students in grades 3-12 who have not yet met the criteria to be promoted to the next grade are encouraged to attend summer school. Schools may select their own schedule for Summer School 2008, but the recommended first day of summer school is July 1, 2008. Please contact your school for start and end dates and times.
