Second Annual
Family Literacy Night!
On Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 7:00PM, we will be hosting our Second Annual Family Literacy Night. At this event, we will have Eric Wight, author of the Frankie Pickle series share his books, and create an interactive story. We will also have teachers conducting various read alouds to engage your children in literacy. We would like to invite you to this event, and hope you will be a part of this enriching experience.
Literacy is an essential part of your child's learning. We want to promote positive reading habits, and a love of literature. Listening to a variety of stories can serve as a vehicle to inspire children to create their own books, or stories. Reading can allow your child to relate to the character, and visit places they have never been before.

Attendance Incentive Policy
As part of our attendance initiative, we will continue tracking student attendance by recognizing the classes with the best attendance on each grade level. Each month, the classes on each grade with the best attendance will receive an attendance award. At the end of the year, the classes that have received the most attendance awards will be taken on a class trip. The trips will be determined by the school community. We are asking that you stress to students the importance of coming to school everyday in order to receive the best education possible. Thank you for your cooperation in this
matter.
