Students at P.S. 102Q learn in a safe, nurturing environment that
promotes higher-level thinking, problem-solving and self-reliance. Our
mission is to prepare all of our students for the challenges of the
future. Our multi-ethnic, culturally diverse community is united around
its common goals: literacy, academic excellence, civic responsibility,
appreciation of the cultural arts and an understanding of the role of
technology in twenty-first century life. Students, parents, teachers,
instructional leaders and other staff members form a committed,
cooperative learning partnership driven by high expectations and a
rigorous standards-based curriculum. Our students are reminded of this
