9/11 Memorial & NYCDOE Instructional Resources

The 9/11 Memorial partnered with the New York City Department of Education to develop 9/11 lesson plans for K-12 classrooms. These lesson plans are focused on four themes: Historical Impact, Community & Conflict, Heroes & Service, and Memory & Memorialization. Many of these lessons incorporate artifacts and images from the 9/11 Memorial Museum's extensive collection.

The lesson plans were written with NYCDOE teachers for use in Social Studies, History, English Language Arts and Art and are organized by grade level and then theme.
