New York City Mentoring Program and Interpublic Group announce scholarship winners

Two Graduating Seniors Receive Money For College

On June 24, 2008, the New York City Mentoring Program and Interpublic Group held a reception to honor the 2008 recipients of the New York City Mentoring Program’s college scholarship.  Philip Acciarito, a student at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School, and Tyshanique Williams, a New Design High School student, will each receive a $5,000 scholarship to be used towards their college education.

For the past two years, Philip has been mentored by James Malick of the Boston Consulting Group. He will attend Princeton University in the fall and plans to study Financial Engineering.  Tyshanique will attend Hampton University to study Accounting. She has been mentored by Corey Wang of Lipman for the past two years. The two students were chosen based upon the excellence of their two essays, community service involvement, grade point average, school attendance, and interview.

Over the past 15 years, Interpublic Group has generously contributed $145,500 to the New York City Mentoring Program for scholarships for college-bound senior mentees.
