  • Mentoring Guidelines – Review a list of important program guidelines from the New York City Department of Education.
  • Helping High School Mentees Set Their Goals – The New York City Mentoring Program asks all of its mentors to guide their mentees through the goal-setting process. Here are a few questions to consider addressing with mentees.

  • Big Brother/Big Sisters of New York City – Big Brothers/Big Sisters of New York City is among New York’s oldest and most successful youth service organizations, providing adult mentors to thousands of young people growing up in single parent homes across the city.
  • Mentoring USA  Mentoring USA, a New York City-based nonprofit, forges powerful, transformative connections for young people through the advocacy and involvement of mentors. Using a one-to-one site-based model, trained mentors inspire by example and model positive life choices.
