New York City’s public schools have produced some of the world’s most influential, talented, and successful leaders who have gone on to shape our world and lead our nation to new heights. Our public schools have also produced millions of active, productive citizens who drive our city and nation forward and inspire us, typically without the fanfare of their famous counterparts.
The New York City Department of Education and The Fund for Public Schools encourage all former attendees and graduates of the public schools to get involved in the city's schools by giving back in meaningful ways. Alumni associations are one of the best ways to stay involved. We’ve included a listing of all Alumni Associations in New York City below and encourage you to reach out and join yours or start your very own alumni association. There are also many other ways to be an active alumni, like volunteering in schools, planning alumni events, donating money or gifts-in-kind, fundraising, or advocating for a school.
To all New York City public school alumni, we hope you will get involved to be a part of the great things that are happening in our schools. To learn more about the progress being made, visit www.keepitgoingnyc.org to learn more about how New Yorkers are helping to keep the progress going.
