With the goal of funding four years of college for 100 students, the 100MileMan Foundation will host the City to the Sand Ride on September 12, 2009. The race is a 100-mile bike ride from New York City to the Hamptons, and proceeds will go to The Fund for Public Schools to support scholarships for students from NYC public schools to attend college.
Participants have the option to ride 50 miles or the full 100 miles, providing an unforgettable experience on a course carefully selected for its safety and scenery. Rest stops every 20 miles will assure that all riders are successful and well-fueled – including a full lunch stop at mile 60.
The Foundation welcomes participants, volunteers, and donors, so sign up and get involved! For more information, to read rider profiles, or get involved, please visit their website at http://the100mileman.com/.
