The Fund for Public Schools will partner with Macy’s again this year on their Shop for a Cause program. Shop for a Cause is Macy's national charity shopping day to support national and local nonprofit organizations. Since 2006, Shop for a Cause has helped raise more than $28 million for thousands of charity partners. Through Shop for a Cause, Macy’s has supported The Fund’s library grant programs and literacy efforts, including New Yorkers Read, a new program to engage children in non-fiction reading.
From now through October 17th, buy a $5 ticket in Macy’s stores throughout New York City and The Fund will benefit. And shop on October 17th for special discounts across the store, special events, prizes, and other in-store excitement!
Nonprofit groups and schools can also register to sell the $5 tickets, with all profits from the ticket sales going to the organization. Visit www.macys.com/shopforacause to learn more and sign up to participate!
