Children's singer performs at Bronx school

Singer Laurie Berkner performs for students at PS 32 in the Bronx

Kindergarteners and first graders
at PS 32 in the Bronx were treated to a rocking concert to commemorate the end of the school year by the popular
children's singer, Laurie Berkner

"There she is! I've seen her on television!" one student yelled.

Students danced and sang along to Berkner favorites including the "Spaghetti Song" and "1, 2, 3 Blast Off." Between songs, Berkner answered questions about how her career began and what inspires her songwriting.

"The kids inspire me," Berkner responded.

"That was great!" a kindergarten student said. "That was the best concert I've ever been to."

"We all thank Laurie for coming to our school and filling our day with music, dancing, and fun," a teacher, Rebecca Bookman, said.

Berkner agreed to take part in a webcast with students next year to answer the rest of their questions.
