Application Support

The Children First Network (CFN) provides primary support in the following areas:

Creating new accounts for authorized school staff — as designated by the principals — for access to Automate the Schools (ATS), the Student Information System (SIS), Summer School, Basic Educational Data System (BEDS), Student Transcript and Academic Recording System (STARS), Financial Accounting Management Information System (FAMIS), Employee Information System (EIS), Galaxy, Children's Assistance Program (CAP), Outlook E-mail and NY State Testing and Reporting tool (nySTART).
Maintaining existing accounts — e.g., changes of location, title, access level, etc.

Supporting user applications — providing direct support (phone, e-mail and fax) to users to resolve any problems in maintaining full use of the following applications: Automate the Schools (ATS), High School Scheduling and Transcripts (HSST) and Outlook E-mail system.

Resetting passwords for above mentioned DOE employee user accounts.

Location Code Generation Management System (LCGMS), which is used to update and manage information about schools, other learning communities, and administrative offices.

Student Transcript and Academic Recording System (STARS), which provides for data entry and processing of student scheduling, grade reporting, and transcripts.
