DESCRIPTION:

Tabula Digita’s DimensionM series of products are video game-based virtual worlds which supplements classroom instruction for students in mathematics through concept introduction, application, reinforcement, embedded assessment, self-correction and continuous monitoring. DimensionM delivers curriculum through an engaging interface which captures and focuses students’ attention on mathematics resulting in high motivation to learn and improved mathematics abilities in order to perform better in the program. DimensionM replicates a mainstream video game experience which is unlike any technology-based mathematics application that has ever been introduced to the K-12 education market. It is also the first program to enable students from multiple classrooms, homes, schools and districts around the globe to interact, compete and collaborate in a mathematical world. Even more compelling is that the program is designed to work within the constructs of a traditional classroom environment, but also promotes and extends usage and continuous student monitoring and reporting into the after school and home environments.

NOTES:

• All Tabula Digita applications, except for the Online Instructional Modules (which are all flash-based and available via Tabula Digita’s www.DimensionM.com website), are client-based (you must load a disc at each workstation), and require an internet connection. The Algebra Single Player and Evolver Pre-Algebra Single Player applications may be installed client-side and played offline, but, in that scenario, Tabula Digita’s database will be unable to collect student usage and performance data; therefore, teachers and administrators will not be able to view this data in Tabula Digita’s reporting tools.
• As with all web-based applications, please be sure that your school has enough bandwidth to run the application, even when used concurrently by several students.  If you have questions about your school’s bandwidth, please contact DIIT.

Important Note:  Tabula Digita recommends testing our games on any machine on which they might be played.  A variety of factors go into determining the performance of any game, and even if specifications appear satisfactory there may be additional factors (other programs installed, specific hardware types and configurations) that affect game performance.  See below for known issues with various graphics card.
