The purpose of this PQS is continue to provide professional development and support in comprehensive social studies standards-based instruction for Kindergarten through 12th grade for teachers, teacher leaders, school and regional administrators. With the adoption of the Chancellor’s Children First Initiative, NYC schools are required to deliver balanced and strategic standards-based Kindergarten -12th grade instruction.
