The New York City Department of Education (DOE), on behalf of the Division of Human Resource and Talent and the Office of Scholarships and Incentive Program, intends to enter into a government-to-government agreement with the City University of New York (CUNY) to provide Master's degrees and/or Doctoral degrees that lead to State certification in a traditional teaching or clinical shortage areas.DOE deems the following disciplines to be shortage areas - Bilingual Special Education, Monolingual and Bilingual Speech Language Pathology, Monolingual and Bilingual courses for the Visually Impaired, Bilingual Guidance Counseling, Bilingual School Psychology, Bilingual Social Work and Occupational and Physical Therapy.
Full or partial scholarship will be offered in exchange for a service commitment to work in a high-needs underserved New York City public school.
The DOE intends to build on its strong partnership with CUNY as well as with these colleges, whose expertise and systems are designed to provide eligible participants matriculating in special education areas and related services. This government-to-government purchase is in the best interest of the DOE as it supports the teacher shortage and improves the delivery of required services.

The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE), on behalf of the Division of Non-Public Schools – 21st Century Partners in Learning (DNPS), intends to enter into a government-to-government agreement with the City University of New York’s Brooklyn College (CUNY Brooklyn) to provide:
• Graduate courses leading to School Building Leader Certification for DNPS’ current and prospective principals.• Career development consultation and coaching designed to ensure candidates stay on track towards certification and find a pathway that best meets their needs.
The NYCDOE intends to build on its strong partnership with CUNY Brooklyn, whose past performance in providing these services has met with the satisfaction of DNPS. This government-to-government purchase is in the best interest of the NYCDOE as it supports the DNPS’ stated goal of providing access to graduate courses for its current and prospective principals at convenient locations throughout the five boroughs of New York City.

The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) is seeking consultants and a team leader to provide support to principals and other school-based supervisors in observing and evaluating pedagogues. Labor Support Unit Consultants are assigned to cases involving U-rated teachers and other pedagogues, and work with Principals and Assistant Principals to prepare documentation of underperforming pedagogues and other school-based personnel. The Labor Support Unit Team Leader acts as a liaison and support conduit between attorneys and the Labor Support Unit Consultants as well as between and among a limited number of school administrators.
