STATEN ISLAND ARCHIVE CENTER (SIAC)The Staten Island Archive Center (SIAC) has been created to be a records and document repository for the New York City Department of Education. Archive Procedure StepsBox Content form The Archive Center is a secure site approved by NYSED which stores all administrative documents; including, but not limited to, personnel files, financial documents, superintendent general files, student suspension records, incident, accident and line of duty reports. It has the capacity to house over 16,000 cartons of documents and contains private areas for reviewing sensitive documents. Special Education student records should be sent to the Office of Special Education Initiative Records Management. They can be contacted at 718-935-2875.
SIAC staff has the capability to pick up and deliver throughout the five boroughs.
The Archive Center is governed by all federal, state, city and DOE regulations regarding the storage and destruction of documents.
SIAC staff can provide archive classes at all ISC and central office locations.
