Deluxe Delivery Systems (DDS) is the carrier vendor who has the responsibilities for delivery of interoffice mail, special education and special “on – demand” requests for deliveries between schools and offices within the Department of Education as well as the distribution of payroll.

Interoffice mail will be picked up and delivered on Monday and Wednesday of each week (click here). There is twice a week courier service between schools and Committee on Special Education/Office of Student Enrollment Offices (CSE/schools) in which folders will be picked up from schools and CSE offices on Tuesdays and Thursdays and delivered to schools and CSE offices on Wednesdays and Fridays. In addition there is twice a week delivery between the CSE offices. (click here). The new schedules for payroll deliveries are also available (click here).

Special delivery requests defined as any package weighing more than one pound but less than 40 pounds or for any delivery date outside the interoffice mail schedule can not be placed via fax or telephone calls. The contracted vendor Deluxe Delivery Systems will only accept special delivery requests through an order application available on the FAMIS Portal. This is a user friendly process that ensures all orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time. For instructions on how to navigate to the application and a review of the process for placing an order on the FAMIS Portal, please access the FAMIS Courier Special Order User Guide. Special courier service is the only way to receive delivery confirmation for sensitive material.
