District 75's Social Studies Department is focused on helping all students use a variety of learning skills to demonstrate their understanding of major ideas, eras, themes, developments and turning points in the history of the United States, New York and World History. Geography, Civics, Citizenship, Government and Economics are also themes that will be explored. Teachers will be offered the opportunity to participate in professional development geared towards helping them create innovative, differentiated lessons that will be developmentally appropriate for our population of students and that will appeal to our diverse community of learners.
