The first step in requesting work from DIIT is to fill in an RFS, or Request for Services. A Request for Services falls into the following categories:
A request for a minor enhancement or a bug fix for users outside of DIIT only. Enhancements or bug fixes should be requested through the Magic system as an RFS (Request for Services). If you have never used Magic for an RFS, you can call 718-935-4500 and ask for help on Magic. Click here to go to Magic or use this link: http://servicecenter.nycenet.edu/selfsupport/login.asp.
A request for the services by DIIT Managers. Only managers from DIIT can use the BMC system: http://servicecenter.nycenet.edu/sde/. If you need an account, call 718-935-4500 and ask for the PMO. Business users that need work done on a large scale, such as a new function or a new version of an application, or an entirely new application. A request for a new project needs to be brought to the Project Management Office. Please call 718-935-4500 and ask to be connected to PMO. We offer templates for the various phases of a project in the software development life cycle (SDLC). Please click here to find them.
