The Parent Academy is a collaborative citywide program dedicated to supporting student achievement by creating and enhancing partnerships
among parents and school teams.
The Parent Academy is designed to offer school communities the training and resources needed to best support their families and, to make parents true partners in the educational lives of their children.
The New York City Department of Education and Long Island University have partnered since Fall 2012 to implement localized school-based and borough-wide training on the Partnership Standards with 100 schools across the five boroughs.
Principals can apply now through June 12, 2013 to be part of the NYC Parent Academy's Year 2 class using this application
. Member schools will send teams to receive localized school-based training and support.
