P.S. 115 kicked off Respect For All Week at their annual Family Valentine’s Day Dance on Friday, February 11. The event was packed with parents and their children who danced the night away among red and pink posters and balloons. Parents who attended the dance received a "Bucket Full of Candy." The gift was to highlight a weeklong event centered on the book, Have You Filled Your Bucket Today? by Carol McCloud. The book is based on the idea that we all have invisible buckets that need to be filled with good deeds that allow us to show respect for those around us or make someone feel good. The P.S. 115 community will spend their RFA Week keeping track of their good deeds and acts of kindness and respect. At the end of the week, the class (in each grade) with the most good deeds will win a pizza party.
