Mission Statement

The Human Resources Division of the New York City School Construction Authority (SCA) will recruit, engage and manage a civil service compliant and representative workforce and provide a variety of service to that workforce in such areas as employment, benefits, EEO, payroll, timekeeping, performance management, labor / management relations and training. HR staff will deliver these services accurately and in a timely, professional and collegial manner. Civil Service

As a public sector entity, the SCA is subject to the New York State Civil Service Law. Although subject to the NYS Civil Service Law and oversight by the NYS Civil Service Commission, the Authority is not part of New York City civil service system.

The NYCSCA is responsible for administering its own civil service system in accordance with applicable New York State laws.

The Civil Service Lists is the place to view test scores and ranking of eligible candidates for appointment from the current SCA civil service lists.
