IT Training

In August of 2004 the New York City School Construction Authority began to offer Expedition 8.57 training to Consultants and Contractors that are currently working on projects within the SCA.

Courses Offered:

  • Expedition 8.59 for Architects and Design Managers.
  • Expedition 8.59 for Construction Managers and General Contractors.

Both courses cover the following topics:

  • Procedure for logging on from a remote site.
  • Overview of Expedition
  • Basic Navigation / Directory Tree structure / Project Center.
  • Project Information Folder.
  • Document vs. Form / Reports.
  • Using E-mail within Expedition.

In Addition to the courses above:

Architect and Design Manager Consultants cover the following:

  • Meeting Minutes / Submittals-Transmittals.
  • RFI's (Inputting answer to the RFI from the Contractor).
  • Bulletins / NCR’s - Non Conformance Report.
  • Generating Reports.

Construction Manager and General Contractor Consultants cover the following:

  • Procedure for logging on from a remote site.
  • Overview of Expedition.
  • Basic Navigation / Directory Tree structure / Project Center.
  • Project Information Folder.
  • Document vs. Form / Reports.
  • Using E-mail within Expedition.

Note: Prior to the training the following process must be completed:
The consultant/contractor must submit completed and notarized Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure agreements forms. They can be found in our Forms Section. Please note that each individual must submit an ITF-1b and one ITF-1c must be submitted per company. If you believe we already have a company form (ITF-1c), you can call the Help Desk at x8871 to confirm. The completed forms will be submitted to the Project Officer.
