The Division of Space Management is designated by the Chancellor to manage space for all New York City Department of Education schools and administrative facilities. The Division’s mission is to ensure that the department’s space is used to enhance students’ educational experiences and outcomes. The Division engages with communities and educational partners in an inclusive, transparent, and equitable process for the allotment and management of space.

Functionally Accessible Schools or Programs are located in a fully or partially accessible building where an individual with mobility impairment may enter and access all relevant programs and services, including the science laboratory, library, cafeteria, and the gymnasium; in some cases school programs may need to be re-located to accommodate access. At least one restroom is accessible.
