Please remember that a lost, stolen or defective student MetroCard must be replaced promptly. The lost, stolen or defective card should be deactivated in ATS and a new card assigned and issued to the student. Withholding a MetroCard from an eligible student as a disciplinary measure or being unnecessarily slow in replacing a card is not an acceptable practice.
