All schools using bus services provided by the Office of Pupil Transportation received a shipment of Metrocards in November of 2011 for use in the event of a school bus strike. These MetroCards were to be kept in a secure location at the school and packages were not to be opened unless there was a strike. Since no strike occurred, OPT's regular Metrocard delivery service will now be collecting these cards so that they can be returned to the MTA. Collection will occur during the week of October 29. Please have the cards available for pick-up when the courier arrives.
