Step 3: Determine the Quantity Required for Future Replacement Cards

  1. Review past numbers: If a school is replacing five K-6 full fare MetroCards each week, order enough cards for a 3-4 week period (15-20 cards).

  2. Use a percentage: Schools may establish a percentage they would like to use as a buffer for replacing cards. For example, if a school has 200 students assigned K-6 full fare MetroCards they may decide to keep 10% (20 cards) on hand for replacements.
