Sports and Activities at Riverbank State Park to Celebrate the End of the School year and Kick off the Summer
The New York City Department of Education will hold its first Family Reunion event tomorrow, Saturday, June 27, at Riverbank State Park in Manhattan. The Department of Education’s Office of Family Engagement and Advocacy and the Public School Athletic League (PSAL) are collaborating to bring children and families this event, which will feature sports and other activities to conclude a successful school year and to celebrate the beginning of an active summer.
The PSAL will conduct fun an instructional clinics for students in basketball, soccer and double-dutch. Students and families will also be invited to do yoga, play rugby, participate in track and field events, and enjoy arts and crafts activities.
The event begins at 11:00 a.m. at Riverbank State Park, located at 679 Riverside Drive (main entrance at 145th Street and Riverside Drive), and will end at 3:00 p.m.
