NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The New York City Department of Education will hold a public hearing on proposed revisions to the Citywide Standards of Discipline and Intervention Measures (The Discipline Code).
When: Tuesday, June 21, 2011

In order to be transparent about the proposed changes to the Discipline Code, all wording changes have been highlighted in blue. Strikethroughs indicate text that will be removed. The proposed changes were developed in consultation with various constituency groups including principals, safety administrators, parents, student leaders and several advocacy groups

Speaker sign-up will begin at 5:30 p.m. Each speaker will be given three minutes to speak. Written comments regarding these revisions will be accepted through Friday, July 15, 2011 by email to Lherrer@schools.nyc.gov.
