The tutoring occurs outside the regular school day – before or after school, or on weekends. Tutoring is offered at home, in schools, in community centers, online or at provider centers. During the 2008-09 school year 188,332 students were eligible for SES and 85,478 students participated in the program. Parents should consult the SES Parent Guide/Directory which is updated annually, and contact providers directly to determine which program is most appropriate for their child.
